Clean skincare products are skincare products that contain none of the questionable ingredients commonly found in conventional beauty products. Being the Skincare addict that I am, and working in the pharmaceutical industry for about 6 years now, one thing that terrifies me is the lack of regulations around chemicals in beauty and personal care products in this country. Most people mistakenly believe that like many other things in the US, the personal-care industry is highly regulated. It is not.
When it comes to the beauty essentials I use every day, I check all products on EWG’s Skin Deep app to make sure items rate a one or two (the lower the score the better). I use products that have a higher score above three very sparingly.
Here’s the thing: I like to be informed about the ingredients and make an informed choice on the products I use in my daily life. Many products in the market are labeled as “organic” and “natural”, which makes people believe that these are all clean products. That’s not okay. As a consumer, you need to be informed about the formulation and what’s actually in the products. Therefore, definitely check the EWG’s Skin Deep app to approve the ingredients in the products you use for your personal needs.

Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream
This is a nourishing cream that will be great for sensitive skin. I have combination skin, but it would work wonders for dry as well as oily skin. It deeply hydrates the skin without making it greasy. One thing that I was really impressed with, is how well it prevents my skin barrier.
