Hawaii – Itinerary for One Week, 2 Islands (Kauai and Maui)

Kauai

Summer of 2018, me and my Husband took a trip for almost a week to Hawaii and this is my complete itinerary. Please read my blog post for Hawaii for a complete guide on places to see and things to do:

Day 1: Oahu

Landed in Oahu about afternoon

Spent a day in Oahu at the Waikiki beach and also checked out the Diamond Head.

Day 2: Kauai

Took the 7:00 Am flight to Kauai from Oahu.

Helicopter tour with Jack Harters Helicopter

Check in at the St Regis Princeville, spent time at the Hanalei town, and Hanalei beach

Kilauea Lighthouse

Queens bath and Hanalei Valley lookout

Tunnels beach for Sunset

Day 3: Kauai

Started early morning hike for the first two miles of Kalalau Trail and also checked out the Hanakapiai Falls after the first two miles. Refer to my blog about this to know the details.

Poipu beach in the afternoon

Roaming around south shore

Dinner on the south shore near the Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa

Day 4: Kauai

Kalalau lookout

Sleeping Giant- did half of the hike due to rainy conditions

Pu’u O Kila lookout

Chilling at the Hanalei beach and in the hotel

Day 5: Kauai

Hike at the Kuilau Ridge Trail

Waimea State Park, Waimea Canyon lookout

Check out JoJo’s Shaved ice, it is in the same town as the Canyon

Spent the entire afternoon and evening till dark at the Polihale State Park and Beach

Day 6: Maui

Early morning 10:40 AM Hawaiian Airlines flight to Maui

Ioa Valley

Hotel Check In at Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa

Relax at the resort

Day 7: Maui

Road to Hana full day

Dinner at the Lahaina Town

Day 8: Maui

Relax at the hotel

Haleakalā from afternoon to Sunset

Day 9:Back to ATL
