Beginner Skincare Routine- What do you really need?

Want to build an effective skincare routine? But, if you are someone who is confused about what products to actually use on your skin, this post about building an effective basic skincare routine, will help you to get your beginner’s skincare routine in place.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I incorporate serums and other treatments in my personal skincare routine. But, If you are a someone who wants to build a beginner skincare routine, and incorporate some beginner skincare products, you do not need much.

Rather than trying multiple things, start with the basics as I have mentioned below and observe how your skin reacts to it. This will give you a better understanding of what your skin needs. Once you have your basic skincare routine and products in place, incorporate serums and treatment.

You can read all about my skincare routine here, once you have the Basic skincare routine in place.

Beginner Skincare Routine Products:

If you’re starting out your beginner skincare routine, there are four product types that should form the basis of your skincare routine:
  • Cleanser
  • Toner
  • Moisturizer
  • Sunscreen

Cleanser: Cleanser does not need to be fancy. In fact, it is better to incorporate a simple cleanser in your skincare routine that does not irritate your skin. I also love to double cleanse my skin at the end of the day, if I am wearing any makeup, because that make sure all the traces of dirt and makeup are removed from my pores, without making my skin feel irritated and tight.

Toner

A lot of people do not use toner, because it does not provide you any immediate results like other skincare products. But, toner is actually very important after cleansing, because it helps your skin to maintain a health PH balance.

Moisturizer

Moisturizer delivers essential ingredients to the skin. Even if you have oily skin do not skip on moisturizer. It will help your skin to maintain a healthy skin barrier.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is a MUST when it comes to protection. No matter how many expensive products and treatments you use in your skincare routine, if you do not use a Sunscreen on daily basis, your skin is not going to perform at its best. Sunscreen is a must and should not be skipped.

I hope you found this post helpful and it will help you to build an effective skincare routine. Let’s say that the more you understand and learn about your skin, the more control you have in maintaining your skin’s best and natural state.
