Located close to Marrakech, the Agafay Desert is a unique landscape of rocky plains and valleys that offer a different kind of desert glamping experience. Stay in comfortable tents or eco-lodges, and enjoy activities such as hiking, hot air ballooning, or stargazing in this lesser-known but equally stunning desert landscape.
Glamping, or glamorous camping, is a unique and luxurious way to experience the great outdoors. In Morocco, glamping allows you to immerse yourself in the rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant colors of this North African country while enjoying the comfort and amenities of a stylish and well-appointed camp.
Glamping Morocco is an incredible, possibly once-in-a-lifetime experience that absolutely should not be missed. A lot of people book a trip to Marrakech and think they can just hop on over to the Sahara for the day. The Sahara is actually around an 8 -10 hours drive from Marrakech, so if that’s something you definitely want to do, I would allot 2-3 days for it. Since we did not have that much time this time around when we were in Marrakech, we decided to go to the nearby Agafay Desert luxury camps, which was only an hour away from Marrakech.

Where to Stay In Agafay Desert:
There are a lot of luxury camps in Agafay that offer great service and views but my personal favorite is the Be Agafay, Inara Camps, and Sacrebo Camp.
It gives you the feeling of truly being in the desert – you can ride camels and bask in the heat all day, surrounded by miles of sand. Plus, the camps mentioned above are all absolutely beautiful and an incredible experience in and of itself.
