Hello Ladies! Finally, I am kicking off this home series starting with the Dining Room 🙂
This was the room I was most excited to design in our new home, and I’m so happy with how it turned out! It is my favorite space in the entire house. We didn’t have a dining table at our old apartment, so being able to entertain family and friends here in the new house has been something I’ve been looking forward to.
There were a few things I really wanted to incorporate into this space. A french style mirror, wishbone dining chairs, and a wooden hand-carved table were all must-haves when I was envisioning my dream dining room. I especially wanted to play with pairing the color black and wooden, natural tones. I just love how green plants and pampas grass pops against a neutral color palette.
This dining table is from Crate and Barrel and it is so special to us. We always knew we wanted something different than the traditional dining tables, something that adds a lot of character to the room since our main floor is an all open living plan, so a good quality dining table would make a big difference. We walked into Crate and Barrel and immediately saw this. I and my husband both of us were immediately in love with it and decided to splurge since we knew we would use it for years.
It is such a good quality with hand-carved wood. I know this is going to last for years to come, and since we were so obsessed with it, we decided to get it.
Our four dining chairs are from Crate and Barrel, but I have found some very similar affordable options that I have linked here from Wayfair.
This bench is from Target and it is one of the coziest rustic benches I have ever seen. So affordable but very well made. It is currently sold out. But, I have linked a very similar one from Wayfair here. Target has really good benches. I draped a sheepskin rug over top for some extra comfy-coziness.
The Chandelier is from West Elm and I have linked a very similar one below.
This French-style mirror was one thing, we knew we wanted to incorporate somewhere in the house. There is no better place for it than in our dining room because it gives the room such a chic look, also makes it look bigger. It is from Arhaus and I am obsessed with it.
Our painting is from Z Gallerie. We decided to go with this one since it is not too loud, but still has a calming effect to it, that brings the entire dining space together. It is understated but still adds so much value to the room.
Parth and I host so many of our pizza parties here and I love to see our friends and family hanging out in this space having fun comfortably at the table. It is so nice to have this space for eating and hanging, separate from the living room!
So what do you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the newly decorated space 🙂 and don’t forget to subscribe, because I will have more in this home series, revealing other rooms 🙂
