If you follow me on Instagram, you already know my love for masks. I love to mask atleast once or twice a week depending on my skin’s need. One mask that I always have in my collection is the Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari baby facial.
This is such a great mask for an at-home facial since it contains AHA/ BHA, which helps in resurfacing the skin for clarity and radiance. It is a great chemical exfoliator.
Babyfacial contains 25% AHA/ 2% BHA that gently exfoliates pore lining and resurfaces by removing dead skin cells. This is one of my favorite masks to do at home, three times a month. I use it before any occasion too, and it gives my skin such a nice glow and evens out my skin tone too.

I have sensitive skin and it works for me. It does not irritate my skin since I only use it three times in a month. Due to its high concentration of AHA/BHA, you do feel a slight tingling sensation on your skin when you first apply it. But, if you have very sensitive skin, you might want to patch test it first. Or if your skin is already irritated do not use chemical exfoliants.
Even though I love this mask a lot, I do not necessarily, love the price tag it comes with. And, for people who still want the benefits of AHA and BHA exfoliation at home, but maybe do not want to spend the money on this one- I have some options for you depending on your skin needs.
The FIRST ONE, which is very similar to this one is the OLE HENRIKSEN PHAT GLOW facial mask. This mask contains PHA’s instead of AHA’s/BHA’s. PHA’s are much more gentle on your skin compared to AHA and BHA. So if you have extremely sensitive skin, start with this one first and slowly build your tolerance level to AHA’s and BHA’s. One cool thing about this one is, it goes on pink at first and after a few minutes, it turns white, which is when you know its time to rinse it off. This one is still not cheap, but the price is much better than the Drunk elephant mask and is also great for sensitive skin, unlike the other one.
The SECOND ONE is the Ordinary’s 30% AHA and 2% BHA peeling solution. This is also known as the Vampire facial. This one is a perfect dupe for the Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Facial mask. It also exfoliates and improves skin tone and texture. Personally, I am not a big fan of this one, even though it is almost the same thing.
But, I am suggesting this one, since my friend has tried it and swears by it. Everybody’s skin is different, so if this $8 mask can work for you, why spend the premium price for the drunk elephant one.
I think it does not work for me because of a slightly higher AHA concentration than the drunk elephant one, and the other ingredients in this one do irritate my skin. Try it for yourself, since it can totally work for you just like it did for my friend. When you use this, make sure your face is clean and dry. You will feel a slight tingling sensation even with this one.
I would highly recommend trying the Ordinary mask before buying others because you never know it can work wonders for you. It is also the perfect dupe for the Drunk Elephant Sukari facial.
